You Hate Being Lost in Blackboard

I have an exciting semester coming up this semester. I am encouraging you all to read this blog closely. I am not blogging to talk about my own life but rather to enhance yours. This year is going to be all about leveraging web technologies to help you through your own schooling career with Regent University. Don't get lost in blackboard ANYMORE!

I want to show you just how easy it is to work through school this year by applying the hundreds of tips and techniques I know about using the internet to better yourself.

Be ready, this is going to be one heck of an information source. Everything I show you here I hope that you will do quickly and use it in conjunction with your friends. In fact I hope that you will pass around this blog with your schooling friends both in Regent and outside of Regent. Use this information to make your life easier!!

First topic up to talk about is Communication Channels.

There is no possible way that I could cover this entire topic in one post, in fact the whole idea with leveraging social media to help in schooling is really just learning to build communication channels and using them to help you interact more with the dynamic nature of the internet. Here are the following channels which we are going to try to build over the next few weeks.

1. Communication through blackboard via discussion boards and voice boards.
2. Communication with the teacher via email.
3. Communication with your fellow students and your teacher via Pronto and other IM services.
4. Communication with your fellow students and your teacher via Skype.
5. Communication with your fellow students and your teacher via Facebook.

Honestly, the list goes on and on, but we are going to halt it there. I hope to see many of you help speed up your internet life so that schooling online isn't so difficult anymore. The chains have been broken and we are going to exercise the cutting edge of technology to blast through this year!!

I will be posting all of my contact information at the end of this post as well as a subscription link to a newsletter where I'll syndicate the content of this blog through to your email. We don't want you to have to work any harder to get access to this vital content than you have to so I'm going to make it as easy as possible!
